Summary

     Summary

John Brown was one of the most influential abolitionists and anti-slave activists ever. Even though he was white, Brown risked his life for the lives of black people. Brown was one of the major causes of the Civil War because of the killings and revolts that he started. Brown was a righteous man that was seen as a villian for many years because many did not approve of his beliefs. Only in recent years have most people realized that Brown was actually a hero, not afraid to die for his cause, and that what he was fighting for was right.
